Sterling Commerce and Enterworks, a provider of business process automation and content integration solutions for e-business portals and marketplaces, have announced a strategic alliance in which Sterling Commerce will offer Enterworks Process Integrator and Enterworks Content Integrator software as part of its portfolio of e-business solutions.
Deployed immediately, Sterling Commerce will initially incorporate Enterworks Process Integrator within its e-business integration solutions to create a comprehensive solution capable of modeling business process flows and automating and monitoring business transactions within enterprise applications and across multiple customers, suppliers, and e-marketplaces.
“Integration is critical for any business looking to decrease cycle times and improve relationships with customers, suppliers, and business partners,” said J. Brad Sharp, president and CEO, Sterling Commerce. “This agreement supports Sterling’s strategy to provide a variety of e-business integration solutions designed to help companies reduce the complexity of integrating business processes within and between enterprises. We’re providing our customers the ability to integrate multiple business processes within their supply chain to further reduce costs and improve responsiveness to their own customers.”
“Our expertise in business process automation – including the often overlooked integration of people for exception handling and problem escalation – will deliver new and unique value to Sterling’s customers,” said John Wood, CEO of Enterworks. “Our solutions play an important role in e-marketplace liquidity as well. Through this OEM agreement, the combined number of e-marketplace trading partners supported by Enterworks’ integration solutions now will reach more than 150,000.”
