SilverStream Software has released its updated eBusiness Platform, which features new versions of the company’s products:
* SilverStream ePortal 2.0 – an integrated offering comprised of an application framework, business components, and underlying e-business services for delivering Internet applications quickly.
- Enhanced business manager tool suite. Allows businesses to respond to rapid change, without dependence on corporate IT.
- Personalization for greater site relevance. Provides multiple constituencies with relevant information.
- New workflow engine. Can control approval cycles and manage project implementation.
- Enhanced content management capabilities. Handles input and output of multiple content types.
* SilverStream xCommerce 2.0 – an XML-enabling service that allows Internet applications to access mainframes and external business systems.
- Enhanced business analyst control. Delivers enhanced visual integration
capabilities; allows businesses to rapidly create, deploy, and manage advanced Web services.
- Enhanced support of J2EE standards. Supports deployment of Web services to J2EE standard application servers, now including WebSphere Application Server.
- Broader e-business integration of back-end legacy systems – Enterprise
Enablers for IBM 3270, 5250 and CICS. Provides real-time integration of critical business applications running on IBM mainframes and AS/400 systems.
* SilverStream Application Server 3.7 – a highly scalable, standards-based Java server for running mission-critical e-business applications.
- Fully J2EE 1.2 compliant.
- Enhanced messaging support. Includes full service JMS server to ensure delivery of mission-critical e-business data.
