Compuware has released new integration connectors for CICS, IMS/DC, and MQSeries. UNIFACE CICS Connector and UNIFACE IMS/DC Connector are new legacy adapters that links a powerful component-based environment with direct access to legacy systems running under CICS and IMS on S/390. These products use native communication layers and protocols, without the requirement to introduce another layer such as a screen scraper or additional middleware.
Users can expect easier installation, faster performance, and more flexible leveraging of existing system software. Developers can assemble and integrate applications using a combination of UNIFACE components and componentized legacy code. This process is done graphically using drag-and-drop technology, and developers do not need to understand how individual components work.
The new UNIFACE Connector for MQSeries provides transparent access to IBM’s industry-leading messaging middleware, allowing integration with any MQSeries-enabled application.
“Most of today’s strategic e-commerce initiatives require the integration of legacy data and legacy applications,” said Edwin Schumacher, director product management of Compuware UNIFACE products. “With UNIFACE, customers are able to adopt a combination of integration approaches, depending on their specific requirements and their need to leverage existing software assets to achieve maximum ROI. Compuware supports a variety of integration approaches through a number of products ranging from data and component integration to message integration and these new products further propel Compuware UNIFACE in the fast growing application integration market space.”
