PROGRESS ANNOUNCES Q4 RESULTS

Progress Software has announced results for its fourth quarter and full fiscal year ended November 30, 2000. Revenue for the quarter was $66m, a decrease of 15% over the same quarter in the previous year. Operating income was $8.9m, a decrease of 45%, and net income was down 32% at $8.1m.

For the twelve months ended November 30, 2000, revenue decreased 5% to $271m and operating income decreased 17% to $38m from 1999 levels.

DATAMIRROR ANNOUNCES Q3 RESULTS

DataMirror, a provider of e-business data integration and resiliency solutions, has announced revenue of $16.2m for the third quarter of fiscal 2001, an increase of 43% over the third quarter of fiscal 2000. Net income was $0.9m ($0.08 per share) compared to $2.2m ($0.22 per share) for the third quarter of fiscal 2000. Income for the third quarter excluding the dilution gain and equity loss resulting from the Company’s investment in PointBase was $1.17m or $0.10 per share.

Revenue for the nine months ended October 31, 2000 was $40.6m, an increase of 37% over the same period of fiscal year 2000. Net income for the nine months was $5.4m ($0.48 per share).

ENTERPRISE SOFTWARE START-UP RECEIVES SEED FUNDING

MetricStream, an enterprise applications infrastructure provider, has received seed funding totaling $1.5 million. MetricStream develops enterprise business management solutions, providing real-time, multi-level snapshot of business process performance across integrated enterprise applications – within and across organizational and geographical boundaries.
