CrossWorlds Software has released CrossWorlds 3.1, unveiling Serverless Trading Agent (STA) technology that enables direct and seamless business integration for companies and their trading partners over the Internet. STA allows companies to deploy CrossWorlds connectors directly across the firewall to trading partners without requiring additional software or servers to be installed at the trading partner site. With its minimal footprint and zero partner administration, STA allows companies to rapidly establish deep, business connectivity to trading partners over the Web.
Release 3.1 also brings to market high availability and enhanced system management to support mission-critical business functions. CrossWorlds 3.1 is designed to meet strict service-level needs with support on Solaris and Windows NT, utilizing a Microsoft Cluster Server. Also added is SNMP support, allowing companies to monitor CrossWorlds 3.1 run-time components from external system management tools such as HP OpenView, Tivoli, and Unicenter.
CrossWorlds’ integration modules encapsulate process logic for common business processes in targeted industries, allowing companies to leverage industry best practices while significantly reducing custom coding and development time during implementation. Now included are modules for the telecommunications industry.
Release 3.1 continues to expand CrossWorlds connectivity, providing rapid implementation and reduced maintenance costs. New in the 3.1 release is the CrossWorlds Java Messaging System Connector.
“To meet the increasing trading demands of e-business, our customers require the flexibility to establish tight or loosely-coupled business relationships with their trading partners,” said Fred Amoroso, president and CEO, CrossWorlds Software. “Using CrossWorlds 3.1, customers reap the time-to-market benefits of our business process integration approach, while lowering the technology barriers to establishing cost-effective business transactions over the Web.”
